Ladies and gentlemen welcome to DJCompTech INC.!

At DJCompTech we provide tech-support for all the different franchises like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut etc. you name it. If it’s on the stock market, we probably do support for it. We fix things like cash registers, pin pads, credit card machines, cameras, rack and stack switches, we do demark extensions and all the different components of the last mile.

What I do here at DJCompTech is I give you access to a job board and through this job board you’ll be able to pick and choose jobs according to your skills. You’ll actually create your own schedule based on your work order’s requirements and what you have available in your own personal schedule. You never have to do any work order on this platform unless you agree to it being assigned to you.

Everyone at DJCompTech makes anywhere from $12 an hour to $200 an hour depending on the level of tech they’re performing as for each work order that they’re responding to on the job board. Everyone covers a 30-mile radius around their home to perform jobs in that area and beyond we typically charge $.30-$.56 a mile round-trip.

When we call the vendor and ask questions about the work order, we’ll also ask about their budget because they’re transparent just like I am. They know you’re getting up percentage of the whole that’s paid to DJCompTech. It’s really easy to figure out your pay from there. DJCompTech pays weekly for anything that cleared management approval the week prior. All the vendors have to do is review your notes. As long as your notes are on the work order and your pictures that you upload through our app. If your notes depict who, what, when, where, how, and why, your work orders will get approved quickly because then they don’t have to wait for all that information to come from the local manager where you serviced the equipment.

At DJCompTech we’re all subcontractors so we can assume the identity of each of our vendors as we perform work for them. This means you will assume the identity as a subcontractor when you go into these facilities. You’ll have paperwork on what you’re supposed to be doing. You’ll call in and check in with your vendor. You’ll call in and check in with tech support and let them know you’re going to look at a piece of hardware. We don’t do much software, that’s proprietary to the vendor.

Really all we do is unpack Christmas for everybody! We go in, see an old device that’s bad, simply take pictures of the old, record the serial numbers of the old and then take pictures of the new and record serial numbers of the new device. As a result, our vendor sees your work as you do it. All paperwork is done on site and paid for by the hour. Most vendors pay us at DJCompTech $50 to $60 an hour, so you know you’re going to make at least $30 an hour at 60% for typical vendors doing easy work that we call on-site smart hands support. Long story short that wraps up what I wanted to discuss with all of you today.  I hope this helps put things into perspective. We look forward to assisting you in the corporate chat. join us today!

Telecommuting – It’s not just temporary

Whether you are using Zoom or Microsoft Teams or any of the other myriad of video conferencing solutions out there today, you are probably having more virtual meetings than you had ever imagined would happen in the workplace.

Since the onset of the pandemic, it has become all the buzz. It has become the cool thing “Everybody is doing it!”, the annoying thing “Whoever is making the noise, please mute!”, the thing we all joke about “You’re on mute! LOL.” and thing we don’t need pants to attend. Some of us have embraced this new way to communicate and some are already fatigued by the process. One thing is for certain though, telecommuting/teleconferencing in this way will be around long after the pandemic has passed and we can choose to go back to “normal”

Why is this?

  • Because it gives us the ability meet at a moments notice and accomplish so much more than ever before. No driving required!
  • Because it helps us collaborate in new ways other than just talking/seeing each other. We can share notes, reference material, documents and media instantly.
  • It provides cost savings, time savings and energy savings.

Ultimately the forced use of this technology, which has actually existed for quite some time, has broken down the barriers to the very idea of telecommuting. Unless we work in a field that quite literally requires us to physically “be there” to complete our work, we can work from anywhere, and I do mean ANYWHERE. As long as there is a decent internet connection available. And these days, there is almost always a decent internet connection from anywhere you wish to work.
